The Hardrock Offroad H708 Overdrive is a wheel that feature 16 slanted spokes. It uses asymmetrical design on eight sets of spoke pairings. These thin spoke pairs create more visual interest than a fully symmetrical pinwheel design.
The spacing at the barrel and attachment treatment at the hub adds the variety onlookers need to peek their interest. Angled spoke wheels need more structural consideration over straight spoke wheels.
When the spokes angel, impact and stress doesn't travel in the shortest straight line to the axel. The H708 compensates for this by using a high number of thin spokes to create smaller gap spans.
