All Texas Speed & Performance resleeved short-blocks use a NEW resleeved Gen 4 aluminum block with Darton dry sleeves! The standard price includes a fully-assembled short-block with a 4.00" stroke crankshaft with your choice of 24x or 58x reluctor wheel. All resleeved blocks are fully machined and assembled at our facility, and we use state-of-the-art Darton dry sleeves that have a much higher tensile strength than the standard GM sleeves. They are also much thicker than the sleeves used in GM blocks. We do not recommend running larger than a 4.125" bore size if you are using any type of power-adder.

The standard price also includes your choice of Wiseco, Diamond Racing, or Mahle pistons in 4.005", 4.01", 4.03", 4.07", 4.08", 4.125", 4.155", and 4.185" bore sizes. All available bore sizes and piston volumes are listed in the corresponding drop-down menus. All piston sets listed are 2618 forgings and feature lowered ring lands to accommodate nitrous and boost applications, should the customer choose to use them. We keep the Wiseco 4.125" -4cc and 4.125" -20cc piston sets in stock for the resleeved engines since these are among the most popular choices. Any other piston set will have a 3-4 week build time since the compression height must be changed to accommodate the lower deck height of the block after it has been sleeved. The -4cc and -20cc piston sets already have the compression height changed for the lower deck height. This engine selection is for all available engine builds using a 4.00" stroke crankshaft. This is the maximum stroke we recommend if you plan on using any power-adders. We also offer 4.10" and 4.125" stroke applications, but we recommend those setups for naturally aspirated use only.

We offer multiple brands of connecting rods and crankshafts to suit any type of application. Every engine will come standard with the necessary oil and coolant plugs already installed in the block. We do offer an optional conversion package that will include the LS2 timing cover with camshaft position sensor, LS2 valley cover, LS2 lifter trays, LS2-specific timing set, and plug-n-play harness extensions for the camshaft position and knock sensor harnesses. This will be required if you are installing the engine into an LS1 vehicle. All engines will ship via truck freight, so if are purchasing online the shipping costs listed will NOT be correct! We will contact you with a shipping cost after your order has been placed. All prices listed do not include the applicable shipping costs!

We do offer an upgrade to 1/2" head studs for those looking to run a large amount of nitrous or boost. The price listed for the 1/2" head stud upgrade will include the cost of the ARP hardware, as well as the necessary machine work. All of the PRC aftermarket casting cylinder heads already have the larger bolt holes to accommodate 1/2" head studs.

All TSP engines will include 12 quarts of break-in oil for no additional cost. Proper break-in oil and procedures for your engine are just as important as the build process! The break-in oil allows for proper ring sealing against the cylinder walls upon start-up, as well as for the break-in period once the engine is up and running. Most off-the-shelf engine oils do not have the necessary ZDDP additives to allow for proper break-in of a new engine, and we want to take every precaution possible to ensure that your new TSP engine receives a proper break-in! We also offer Driven Racing oil for your new engine once your break-in is complete. We recommend using the HR2 conventional non-synthetic.
