- Start with 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph down to 10 mph in rapid succession without letting the brakes cool. Avoid coming to a complete stop if possible.
- Next, complete 5 moderate stops from 35 mph to 5 mph, again in rapid succession. You may notice a resin smell as the brakes heat up.
- Allow the brakes to cool by driving for about 5 minutes at moderate speed without excessive braking or coming to a complete stop. Never cool your brakes with water, as this can cause damage.
