Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Can I use these brake pads for daily driving?
While these pads excel in track conditions, they can also be used for daily driving. However, they are optimized for performance, so if you're looking for a quieter, more comfortable ride, consider a different option for everyday use.
2. How do these pads perform in wet conditions?
The Power Stop Track Day Brake Pads are designed for dry track conditions. While they will perform adequately in the wet, their primary strength lies in high-temperature performance. It's always best to exercise caution in rainy weather.
3. Do I need to replace my rotors when installing these pads?
It's recommended to inspect your rotors for wear and tear before installation. If they're in good condition, you can install the pads without replacing the rotors. However, pairing new pads with new rotors can enhance performance.
4. How do I break in these brake pads?
To ensure optimal performance, follow a proper break-in procedure. This typically involves a series of moderate stops from varying speeds to help the pads seat correctly and achieve the best friction surface.
