If you're looking to transform your 1996-2006 GM 1500 from 4WD to 2WD while enhancing its off-road capabilities, the LSK1117 Race Kit from LSK Suspension is your go-to solution. Originally designed around the Chevy "SS" model truck, this kit is also compatible with 1500 frame Suburbans, though it may require minor taper modifications to the centerlink. This comprehensive system is engineered for serious off-road enthusiasts who want to maximize ride quality on and off the beaten path.

Installation Requirements

Keep in mind that this is not a simple bolt-on kit; proficient fabrication skills are necessary for installation. Here’s what you’ll need:

• 10" x 2.5" Coilovers (NOT INCLUDED)
• 10" x 3.0" Bypasses (NOT INCLUDED)
• Welding is required for installation
• Possible extension of the factory ABS sensor line depending on wire routing
• Bumpstops can be configured to bump off the lower control arm, upper control arm, or spindle uniball cup. We recommend a King 2.0" x 2" stroke with King fabricated cans.
• Limit straps: we suggest a 10" limit strap with an adjustable clevis kit (available in the Builders Components section of our store).

Important Notes

• Coilovers and bypasses are custom-ordered and may not always be in stock. Please contact our sales team for current lead times.
• Finish options include black powdercoat or raw finish (note that raw kits ship unassembled).
• For the upper control arm, use 7/8in-14 rod ends, which are available in our online store under Builders Components.
• Spindles require a 1.00in FK uniball (PN: WSSX16T), with replacements available in our store.
• Lower control arms use a 1.50in FK uniball (PN: COMH24T) and LSK 1.75in Delrin bushings, also available online.
• This kit requires permanent frame modifications, as the shock tower is installed in place of the factory shock and upper control arm mounts.
