Even with the stock turbine, exhaust gas can create turbulence in the housing. The HKS Extension Kit addresses this issue by incorporating a divider in the exhaust flange, allowing for a smoother exhaust flow. The enlarged diameter of the main pipe at the turbine outlet helps decrease swirl flow caused by exhaust interference. This design not only prevents secondary exhaust pressure from rising but also stabilizes boost pressure, leading to improved engine output.
