Select the year of your Subaru WRX:
If you own a turbo Subaru, you know that getting the most out of your boost control is crucial. That’s where the GrimmSpeed Original Direct-Fit BCS comes into play. This isn’t just another part; it’s a game changer for anyone looking to dial in their ride. Unlike the stock 2-port solenoid, this 3-Port Electronic Boost Solenoid offers precision control that’ll make your tuner smile.
One of the standout features is how it helps spool your turbo quicker while keeping boost levels consistent throughout your power band. You want your car to respond like a dream, right? With the GrimmSpeed solenoid, you’ll get rock-solid boost levels, making your driving experience that much more enjoyable. Plus, it can handle up to 120psi without missing a beat—no lag, no fuss.
Design-wise, GrimmSpeed really thought this through. They’ve got model-specific install brackets that give you a factory fit and finish, so it doesn’t look like you just bolted on an aftermarket part. The best part? It uses the same Subaru wiring harness connector as your OEM solenoid. Just unplug the old one, plug in the GrimmSpeed, and you’re good to go—no cutting or crimping wires. It’s as straightforward as it gets.
The solenoid itself is built to last. GrimmSpeed teamed up with MAC, a company that knows a thing or two about pneumatic control. They designed a valve that’s tough enough for commercial use, which means it’s more than capable of handling the demands of your Subaru. With proprietary features like moisture-resistant seals and high-temp coils, you can expect response times of 6 milliseconds or less, even when things heat up.
When it comes to materials, this solenoid is no slouch. The factory-fit brackets are laser-cut and black zinc plated for corrosion resistance, and they’ve got threaded PEM nuts pressed in for a solid connection—no stripped threads here. The low-profile 1/8" NPT nickel-plated fittings are designed for durability, using a 120psi thread sealant to ensure a robust installation.
- Decrease Spool Time - flows 10% more than the competition
- Plug and Play into OEM Harness - no splicing wires like other BCS solutions
- Works Safely with Factory Subaru ECU - custom coil to match ECU voltage
- Nickel Plated Fittings - not the easily breakable plastic fittings!
- 15min Installation - extremely simple with our written and video guides
Fitments:
- Subaru WRX 2002-2005
So if you’re ready to take your Subaru to the next level, the GrimmSpeed Boost Control Solenoid is the way to go. It’s built for performance and reliability, and it’s a breeze to install. Trust me, once you’ve got this in your ride, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Regardless of how carefully you use, or how well you care for your GrimmSpeed product, like all performance parts it will eventually begin to show age and wear. Common examples of wear and tear that would not be covered under the limited lifetime warranty include denting, abrasions or scratches, color changing from heat in exhaust components and so on, less common examples include flex-section wear and fatigue cracks over an extended period of time.
