Girodisc Rear 2 Piece Floating Rotors for Subaru 08-11 A2-095, High-Performance Brake Upgrade
$950.00

If you're looking to upgrade your braking system without going overboard with a big brake kit, the Girodisc system is a solid choice. This isn't just some generic replacement; it bolts right onto your ride and works seamlessly with your factory calipers. I’ve swapped out my stock rotors for these, and let me tell you, the difference is noticeable.

One of the standout features is the weight reduction. The Girodisc rear rotors weigh in at around 11 pounds, compared to the hefty 18 pounds of the OEM units. That might not sound like much, but trust me, that lighter weight translates to quicker acceleration and better suspension response. You’ll feel the difference when you hit the gas.

The construction is top-notch too. The central hat section is crafted from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, which not only keeps things lightweight but also adds durability. The rotor itself is made from Girodisc's proprietary cast iron, poured and machined right here in the USA. They’ve even incorporated a curved vane design that acts like a centrifugal pump, pushing cooling air through the disc. This is a feature that’s been developed from racing, so you know it’s built to perform.

Another cool aspect is the floating mount system. It uses 8 or 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, custom made in the USA and cadmium plated to resist corrosion. These pins are designed to handle the load from braking while allowing for axial and radial float between the hat and the disc. They’ve thought of everything—like using anti-noise spring washers to prevent rattling when the rotors are cold. This means you can enjoy a quiet ride without sacrificing performance.

Once you install the Girodisc system, replacing the cast iron rotor is a breeze when it’s time for a change. It’s a straightforward swap, so you can keep your setup fresh without a hassle.

These rotors are sold in pairs and are specifically designed to fit the Subaru WRX models from 2008 to 2011. If you’re looking to enhance your braking performance without losing that factory feel, give these a shot.
