What sets these rotors apart is the craftsmanship. The central hat is crafted from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, which is a fancy way of saying it's tough and lightweight. The disc itself is made from a proprietary cast iron that we pour and machine right here in the USA, so you know you’re getting quality. Plus, the rotor features a curved vane design that’s been honed in the racing world. This design acts like a centrifugal pump, pushing cool air through the disc to keep temperatures in check during those spirited drives.
Another cool feature is the floating mount system. It uses 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins’manufactured in-house by Girodisc’cadmium plated for durability and corrosion resistance. These pins take the brunt of the braking forces while allowing some axial and radial movement between the hat and the disc. This means you get better performance without the annoying noise that can come with floating rotors. We even included anti-noise spring washers to keep things quiet when the rotors are cold, so there’s no rattling as you drive.
Once you’ve got the Girodisc system installed, replacing the cast iron rotor is a breeze when the time comes. Just swap it out, and you’re good to go. Each set is sold in pairs, so you can upgrade both sides at once.
These rotors are designed to fit the Porsche 991.1 GT3/GT3 RS from 2014 to 2016 and the 991.2 GT3/GT3 RS from 2018 to 2019. If you’re running OEM PCCB rotors, this conversion is a no-brainer.
