Girodisc A2-250 Two-Piece Rear Rotors for Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport

The Girodisc A2-250 is engineered as a direct replacement for the factory rear rotors on the Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport equipped with carbon ceramic rotors. This system requires no modifications for installation, ensuring a straightforward upgrade for your braking system.

Construction and Design

The central hat of the A2-250 rotor is crafted from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet robust foundation. The rotor disc itself is made from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, which is poured and machined in-house in the USA. This ensures strict quality control and performance consistency throughout the manufacturing process.

Cooling and Performance Features

Featuring a curved vane design, the rotor acts as a centrifugal pump, effectively channeling cooling air through the disc to enhance thermal management during intense braking situations. This design is a product of racing technology, optimizing airflow and cooling efficiency.

Floating Mount System

The rotor and hat are connected via a floating mount system that utilizes ten high-strength alloy steel drive pins, custom-manufactured in the USA by Girodisc. These pins are cadmium plated for superior corrosion resistance and are designed to withstand the forces generated during braking while allowing axial and radial float. The pins are secured with class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers, ensuring durability and reliability.

Noise Reduction and Self-Centering

To minimize noise during operation, anti-noise spring washers are incorporated on the rotor side of the pins. This design allows the rotor to expand with heat while preventing rattling and noise associated with floating rotors. Additionally, the floating mount system enables the rotor to self-center between the brake pads, ensuring optimal contact and performance.

Purchaser acknowledges the Product is for off-road racing use only. The nature of off road racing involves significant risk, and the conditions under which the Product is used and types of use of the Product are many depending on factors such as installation and use. Due to the inherent risk of the activity in which the Product is used, the Purchaser understands and agrees the Seller provides a limited warranty for the Product, specifically, the warranty is limited to the following specification: less than .0015” runout and less than .0003”disc thickness variation.

If Purchaser provides Seller with written notice of any condition inconsistent with the specification set forth above on or before six (6) months from the date of delivery and complies with the return requirements set forth in Section 6, then Seller will, at its election either:
  • Provide a replacement Product, or
  • Refund the purchase price.
This limited warranty does not cover, and Seller will not pay for, or provide, labor or materials that which may be necessary to remove a Product or install a replacement Product. This warranty is limited to the exchange of the Product or return of the purchase price.
