The Mach 2 is designed as a 100% recirculating valve, which means it’s perfect for those looking for a bypass or plumb back option. If you're after a direct factory replacement that delivers performance without the extra noise, stick with the recirc model. But if you’re in the mood for some sound with your power, you can easily add on a conversion kit for 100% atmosphere venting!
Addressing Common Issues
Factory bypass valves often have a couple of drawbacks. They usually start opening at a certain pressure to protect your engine, which can be limiting. Plus, they aren’t optimized for quick throttle response. And let’s not forget, venting them to atmosphere can lead to engine stalling.
