Can you believe it? It’s been 20 years since the world first met the Dual Outlet Blow-Off Valve! Let’s take a little trip back to 1998, a time when Justin Bieber was just a kid, Y2K was a buzzword, and Google was still finding its feet. In this era, GFB’s founding engineer, John Adrian, found himself frustrated with his new WRX stalling due to an atmosphere-venting BOV. Tired of the hassle, he decided enough was enough and set out to create a solution—a dual port BOV that would change the game!
Introducing the "Hybrid"
This groundbreaking invention quickly became the flagship model for Go Fast Bits. The Hybrid features two venting ports designed to work in harmony. The recirc port opens before the atmospheric port, which helps prevent backfiring and stalling on cars equipped with a MAF sensor. And don’t worry, it still delivers that iconic blow-off sound when you push your car to the limit!
A Legacy of Success
The impact of the Hybrid was so profound that its technology has been embraced by nearly every other BOV brand out there. It paved the way for GFB’s next innovations, including the venting bias adjustable BOV known as the Respons TMS and the electronically adjustable Deceptor Pro.

While the spotlight has been on newer models, the Hybrid has been absent from the market for a while. But guess what? In celebration of its 20th anniversary, GFB is bringing the Hybrid back! And to top it off, this remarkable dual-port venting system was recognized with a Global Media Award at the 2017 SEMA show, standing out among 3,000 entries!

The new Hybrid retains the same staged venting outlets as the original but now offers even more versatility. You can configure it for full recirc, full atmosphere, or a 50/50 venting option. Plus, there’s a wide range of direct bolt-on kits available for popular vehicles.
