Celebrating 20 Years of Innovation
Can you believe it's been 20 years since the world was introduced to the first-ever dual outlet blow-off valve? Let's take a little trip back to 1998—a time before Justin Bieber, Y2K, and even Google. Back then, GFB's founding engineer, John Adrian, was having a tough time with his new WRX stalling due to an atmosphere-venting BOV. Frustrated, he decided he couldn't live in a world without a dual port BOV, and that's how the Hybrid was born!
A Game-Changer in the Turbo World
Known as the "Hybrid," this groundbreaking valve quickly became the flagship model for Go Fast Bits. Its unique design features two venting ports that work in harmony: the recirc port opens before the atmo port, which helps prevent backfiring and stalling in cars equipped with a MAF sensor. But don’t worry, you still get that iconic blow-off sound when you push your car to its limits!
Lasting Impact
The success of the Hybrid was monumental, inspiring nearly every other BOV brand to adopt this technology. It paved the way for GFB's next innovations, including the venting bias adjustable BOV, now known as the Respons TMS, and the electronically adjustable version, the Deceptor Pro.

With all the attention on newer products, the Hybrid took a bit of a backseat. But now, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, GFB is reintroducing this iconic product! And as a special birthday treat, the Hybrid was recognized among 3,000 entries at the 2017 SEMA show, receiving a Global Media Award for its dual-port venting system.

The latest version retains the original's staged venting outlets, but now you can configure it for full recirc, full atmosphere, or a 50/50 split.
