Can you believe it’s been 20 years since the world first saw a dual outlet blow-off valve? Let’s take a little trip back to 1998—a time before Justin Bieber, Y2K, and even Google. Back then, GFB's founding engineer, John Adrian, was frustrated with his new WRX stalling because of an atmosphere-venting BOV. Tired of the hassle, he decided the world needed a dual port BOV, and that’s how the Hybrid was born!
A Game-Changer in the Turbo World
Known affectionately as the "Hybrid," this groundbreaking product became the flagship model for Go Fast Bits. With its unique design featuring two venting ports, the recirc port opens before the atmo port. This clever staging helps prevent backfiring and stalling in cars equipped with a MAF sensor, all while delivering that signature blow-off sound when you really put the pedal to the metal.
A Legacy of Excellence
The Hybrid was such a hit that its innovative technology has been embraced by nearly every other BOV brand out there. It paved the way for GFB's next big thing, the venting bias adjustable BOV known as the Respons TMS, and later, the electronically adjustable Deceptor Pro.
