BMR Suspension A-Arm Kit: Upper AAU461H & Lower AAL461H for G-Body 1978-1987

If you're looking to upgrade your G-Body's suspension, the BMR Suspension A-Arm Kit is a game-changer. Designed specifically for models from 1978 to 1987, including the Buick Grand National, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and Oldsmobile Cutlass, this kit enhances your vehicle's performance in ways you may not have expected.

Why A-Arms Matter

A-arms play a crucial role in your vehicle's suspension system, acting as the vital link between your front wheels and the chassis. Any deflection in this area can lead to alignment issues, negatively affecting performance and handling. BMR Suspension has tackled this problem head-on with their robust A-arms, crafted from heavy-duty 1.25-inch, 0.095-inch wall DOM tubing and reinforced with laser-cut, CNC-formed plate steel braces for unmatched strength.

Key Features

  • Deflection Elimination: Say goodbye to A-arm deflection, improving steering feel and response during both normal and performance driving.
  • High-Speed Stability: Enjoy increased stability at high speeds, thanks to the engineered design that includes two additional degrees of positive caster.
  • Durable Construction: The A-arms are fixture welded for precise fit and feature dual-offset cross-shafts that minimize the shim stack needed for negative camber adjustments.
  • Efficient Lubrication: Internally fluted Delrin bushings ensure even grease distribution, keeping your suspension components running smoothly and quietly.
  • Easy Installation: Pre-assembled with new polyurethane bump stops and upper ball joints, installation is straightforward and typically takes about 4-5 hours.
  • Stylish Finishes: Choose from a black hammertone or red powdercoat finish, both designed to withstand the test of time.

Performance Benefits

The BMR AAK461 kit doesn’t just improve aesthetics; it significantly enhances your vehicle's handling characteristics. With the combination of the upper and lower A-arms, you can achieve a total of up to 6 degrees of positive caster over stock. This means improved geometry and increased lateral grip during cornering, making it perfect for street performance, drag racing, and pro touring applications.

This A-Arm Kit fits the following vehicles:

  • Buick Grand National (1978-1987)

Proudly Made in the USA
