- 66-67 cars require additional modifications to inner wheel house for hinge clearance if you plan to use the factory decklid hinges. After install, lower the hinge arm until it touches the inner wheelhouse and mark the spot with a sharpie, then use a ball peen hammer to create a clearance blister. You will need about 1/4 of clearance for the hinge and there is no tire clearance impact.
